We are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Ruby Levin, a 17-year-old young lady from Los Angeles, USA. Ruby has made an incredible impact through her dedication to supporting the Khazimla Project. She began a sanitary towel project at her school in Los Angeles the USA and, upon hearing about our mission, decided to raise funds to support our efforts in South Africa.

Thanks to Ruby’s fundraising efforts, we will be able to continue our work and increase the number of schools we assist through the Khazimla Project. Her generosity is a testament to the power of youth activism and the global impact that one person can make.

In June, Ruby and her family visited South Africa. On Friday, 14 June, they visited Port Elizabeth and joined us for a school visit to Missionvale Primary School. The visit was a heartwarming and educational experience for everyone involved.

We had a wonderful session with a group of Grade 6 and 7 learners. The students received an inspiring presentation from Amanda August of the Egoqweni Empowerment Movement. Ruby also shared her experiences, explaining how she was inspired to assist with projects like ours and encouraging the students to take action in their own communities.

In addition to the presentations, we provided the learners with sanitary towels, cupcakes, and cool drinks, making the day both informative and enjoyable.

We are incredibly grateful to Ruby and her family for their support and dedication to the Khazimla Project. Together, we are making a difference and empowering young learners to reach their full potential.
